Josephine’s Haven is more than a nonprofit—it’s a sanctuary of strength, support, and sisterhood, inspired by the unwavering kindness of Josephine Frances Herbert. Affectionately known as “Ms. Jo,” she was a friend, confidante, and guiding light to neighbors, coworkers, and young women in need. Whether offering a listening ear, wise counsel, or a helping hand, she became a second mother to many, always ready with words of encouragement and unwavering support.

In her honor, Josephine’s Haven carries forward her legacy, empowering women facing financial hardship, job loss, food insecurity, and housing instability. Through weekly online empowerment sessions, community resources, and practical guidance, we help women rebuild, rise, and reclaim their futures with dignity and confidence. Because just like Ms. Jo believed—no woman should have to face life’s challenges alone.
